Midpoint

Hello everyone it’s almost the midpoint of the semester.  Time to check in with your professors and ensure you are up to date with all of your assignments! I also wanted to encourage any associate program student to look into joining the Honors program.  I was a member myself while completing my CNA degree. I really believe it’s a great opportunity to meet other students and network with professors and people in organizations you would have never heard of.

Moving Along

Hello everyone and welcome back to another semester at CW. This is my second to last semester before I graduate with my Bachelors Degree. And I must admit I am extremely excited! If any of you guys are close to graduating like I am. Now is the time to ask your professors for those recommendations if you’re applying to a Grad school, or seeking a higher degree somewhere else. Make sure to get all your ducks in a row, and don’t wait for the last minute!

Sigma Beta Delta

Hello everyone! This past week was the Sigma Beta Delta induction ceremony at CW. Sigma Beta Delta is an Honors Society open to business Majors who have completed at least four semesters and have a GPA at or above a 3.5. Taking part in the program can be very beneficial; you can qualify for more scholarships and even have more career opportunities because of the connections you make with fellow members. For those who are not at the BBA level just yet there is Phi Theta Kappa for the Associates, so keep your grades up guys and maybe next year you will be inducted!

Holidays are Coming

Hey guys! it seems the holidays are right around the corner with Thanksgiving being just a few days away!. Today in the student Center an annual CW luncheon was held, and I would just like to say that I think its an absolutely wonderful event. It's always nice to see every one get together and relax and enjoy themselves. It's important to take a little time off from focusing solely on class and just enjoy ourselves.

Hurricane Sandy Relief

Hello everyone! as you all know Hurricane Sandy affected many of our lives, but some more than others. I would just like to commend the Creative Evolution fashion club on their efforts to help those in their time of need. Also I would like to remind everyone that you can still help out and bring in donations of non-perishable food and other necessities.  There is a drop box located in the main lobby and outside of career services, for your convenience.

Photography Club

At the last meeting for the photography we displayed our best 12 photos for the club. It was an exciting experience, getting to see the world through other peoples eyes or their lens I should say. Hearing other peoples' thoughts about your work and what it meant to them.  I really enjoyed hearing other thoughts and opinions and I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in photography to check us out!
